I don't know about typical used car prices in the U.S., but $7300 for a Ford Fiesta with that mileage seems quite steep to me. In terms of reliability, Fiesta from that generation are reliable if and only if they have the manual transmission. The PowerShift automatic is garbage, don't buy it. The manual is perfectly fine.
The pump was under an extended Ford recall. so no cost to us. Other than normal wear and maintenance items I never had to work on the car. A 2010 would only be different in the sheetmetal, and should be a good car, but definitely get a good mechanic evaluation before buying it.
The battery placement is retarded but otherwise it’s a really sporty crossover and nearly luxurious. For the 2013-2019, 1.5/1.6L engines have had horrible luck with coolant issues. 2.0L have had some, but not as much. I have a 2014 2.0L AWD with 105k km on it, and it’s running perfectly.
The looks of this car will be hit or miss with people. Compared to the regular Fiesta, it gets slightly wider fenders, bigger 17" wheels (16" Konigs pictured), a different difuser with exhaust tips, and the mesh grill up at the front. This car looks really good from certain angles and kinda odd from others. Regular cars from ford are shit, but they make good trucks and SUVs… except for the escape and ecosport. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy a ranger or f150, but I would hesitate to buy a fiesta or escape.
Fiestas are very good cars, and I have one as my first car. This one appears to be a very basic spec (no bluetooth, no cruise control, Probably doesn't have the heated windscreen either). If you know you want a Fiesta in that price bracket maybe look at the MK7 pre-facelift but in a higher spec, whereas this is a MK7 Facelift in a low spec.
Ford recommend every 10 years or 150k miles, but the number of stories of engines failing catastrophically around 5-8 years due to shreds of the belt blocking the oil pickup worries me (as a big Fiesta fan)
2 days ago · On April 30, 2015, Ford expanded the recall to cover an additional 119,567 vehicles, including certain model year 2011 Ford Fiestas manufactured from November 11, 2009, to May 31, 2013 and certain

When the car is on and idling, the AC blows warm, regardless of it being set to cold. Not until the car is driving at least 30 MPH will the air begin to get cold. When I've been driving for a while, it'll remain cold, but as soon as I stop at a red light the air heats right up again. There is no noticeable sound or vibration or other indication

2014 fiesta se turbo advice. Ive got the 1.6 liter ford fiesta and i want to add a little power. Ive never dealt with a turbocharger before but i would like to start learning and testing. I want a small turbo that would be realativley cheap and easy to install, and i should add, one that wont damage my engine or require massive modifications. 1st gear is the shortest gear. Shorter means less roll. Leaving it in 1st would be better than 3rd or even reverse. Essentially what you're doing by using 3rd is giving the weight of car more "leverage" against the engine. So on a hill, the engine braking will be at a bigger disadvantage to stop the weight of the car.
The car called 911 automatically so that’s good I guess. Read more. Read less. The 2019 Ford Fiesta is a subcompact car offered in two body styles: sedan and four-door hatchback.
Bought one for my son in 2016. First and last time I will ever buy a Ford. Complete piece of crap with stupid engineering that makes self maintenance far more complicated than it needs to be. Electrical issues with AC, Airbag Sensors, and the Transmission ongoing lawsuit. Get a Yaris, Accent, or Rio.
Ford Freestyle: Yes or No? I’m looking at buying a 2005 Ford Freestyle. I’m in need of a car and the price is very affordable. It’s got 187,000 miles but looks very well taken care of. With that, is this a good car to get me around for a couple years or should I steer clear? I’m seeing conflicting things online.
I went on a 2 week holiday in 2019 (car was 1 year old at the time) and when I got home my car wouldn't start, had to be jump started. I took it to the dealership and told them I was getting the "please turn ignition off or start engine" message but they assured me it was fine and they couldn't find anything wrong, the battery was at 35% so
Yeah unfortunately he's right. We've already had the seals replaced too since they fluid was leaking onto the clutch plate. We also have had Ford extend the warranty. Other than the transmission which is a pretty big deal, the car does have some very good things going for it. Just a shame that the PowerShift is such a POS.
Both are good cars, but they have different strengths. The Fiesta is more of a driver's car with a much better chassis, while the Ibiza is a bit more comfortable and spacious. If you enjoy driving, the Fiesta is probably the way to go. If you see your car as a way of getting from A to B as comfortably and easily as possible, get the Ibiza.
