the jackal is my most favoured land mount, the skyscale is my most favoured flying mount i still use the beetle when i know the map has a long clear path i can speed across i only use the raptor in areas designed for the raptor or for pulling large amounts of mobs together

In the dye panel there's two new button icons over the outfit slot. Clicking the Helmet icon shows the dye slots for your character, clicking the Horseshoe icon shows the dye slots for your mounts. It's kind of funny how the mount icon is a horseshoe, when horses are basically extinct within all playable territories. Charr ate them all, you know?

World vs. World. Introduce Raptor Mount to Stop Roaming. I don't think roaming was ever an intended activity in wvw personally. I agree with zergs (of course) and havoc groups but roaming feels like a cheap gimmick. All I ever see from players who roam are 1v1 oriented builds that are extremely overpowered vs anything else other then 1v1 builds.
The most effective way to gather mastery exp would be meta events. I would search for any events in the Path of Fire section of the LFG menu. Also make note of the time they start per the Wiki. That way, you are equipped with some knowledge before diving in. Other than that, you can do some hero challenges, story, etc.

PSA - You can bind each mount to a different hotkey. [Question] Was scrolling through the settings when I found that each mount can be bound to a unique hotkey. You still have to dismount to change, but it shortens the process considerably. I currently have mine set to Z, Shift+Z, Ctrl+Z, Alt+Z, etc. 74 Share.

GW2 didn't really feel complete for me until mounts were released. Obviously the masteries for it and other mounts should be gated behind PoF, but I feel anet isn't putting their best foot forward not letting players experience mounts at all at steam release. Perhaps it should be a leveling reward (like 10, 20 or 40).
I don't see how raptor is faster unless it is a really short distance. Across any meaningful distance the jackal leaves raptor in the dust (tested many times). Faster ground speed and 3 teleports that recharge faster than raptor's 2 leaps. Teleport also function better over steep terrain.Raptor is more maneuverable though.
